EXPERIENCE AND WORKMANSHIP
Southern & Central Monuments is a locally owned family business that has been operating out of Gore and Alexandra, proudly serving Southland and Otago for over two generations. As Gore and Central Otago's only member of the New Zealand Master Monumental Masons Association, and with over 50 years of combined experience throughout our staff, we work hard to deliver top quality workmanship and build a legacy for those who are no longer with us.

We work alongside local Council and Cemetery trusts to ensure all monuments are within cemetery guidelines and specifications. Our granite is sourced from India and China, with local schist and quartz also available. We offer a diverse range of headstones to tailor to any needs. By offering free quotes and concept designs, there is no uncertainty before creating a traditional, modern or unique headstone for your loved one. Our staff are on hand to help with the headstone selection process and also provide ideas and examples of what inscription may suit your needs.

Over the years it has been our privilege to work alongside local Council on many community based projects which have included restoring, completely replacing and also creating numerous war memorials and historical monuments.

Southern & Central Monuments have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to restoring monuments. Whether it is a simple headstone clean and re-paint, a family plot that needs brought back to life from years of harsh Southland and Otago weather conditions, new concrete floors, re-plastering bases, we have done it all.
